Sweeties!

We're on indefinite hiatus, while Nasty slouches around New York City in a variety of unconvincing disguises and Veronika continues to work on her memoirs from a secluded beachfront mansion in southern Thailand. If anything important happens, be sure to let us know.

Besos,
Sweet & Nasty

"FAMILY" NIGHT

Friday, May 6 at 10:00pm

at Burlesque on the Beach - 1208 Surf Ave, Coney Island, Brooklyn NY

Tickets: $15

Just when you think you're out, they'll pull you back in. And take off their clothes while they do it. Nasty Canasta - "Brooklyn's greatest burlesque star" (The Brooklyn Paper) - and Sweet and Nasty Burlesque bring you the sexiest Sicilians and the mafiosas with the most on "FAMILY" NIGHT, Friday May 6th at Coney Island's Burlesque On The Beach.

The evening will feature tease and titillation by Nasty Canasta, The Cheese Queen of Coney Island herself, plus criminal cuties Ruby Valentine and Sapphire "The Butcher" Jones; special appearances by Tong vixen Cheeky Lane and Sweet & Nasty's very own Fredo, Hard Corey; the burlesque debut of Killer Puttanesca, newly arrived from the Old Country; and a toast to Family as only Sweet & Nasty and Coney Island can do it. "After all," asks Canasta, "as a loose consortium of legitimate business people, do we not have the right to celebrate our professional associations with the removal of clothing in a highly enjoyable public manner, accompanied by the twirling of tassels and the occasional bump or grind?"

The Friday "FAMILY" NIGHT extravaganza helps to kick off Coney Island's Burlesque On The Beach 2011 Season, following Wasabassco Burlesque's season-opener on Thursday, May 5th. Relax at the Freak Bar with a pre-show beverage, and pick up some unique handmade pasties by Blue Streak Fancywear after the show!

Put on your finest cement overshoes and join Nasty Canasta and Sweet and Nasty Burlesque as Ruby Valentine, Sapphire Jones, Cheeky Lane, Hard Corey and Killer Puttanesca bare all - and evade the RICO Act - at "FAMILY" NIGHT, a completely legal evening of burlesque on Coney Island for one night only, Friday, May 6th at 10pm. Special seating available for all Federal agents.

Check out BurlesqueBeat.com's review of The Sweet & Nasty Radio Mystery Hour at The 2010 Burlesque Blitz:

" “The Case of the Falling Starlet” [was] a truly delightful mix of “just close your eyes and let the radio play watch over you” and “quick! Eyes wide open, lovely nekkid ladies!” which gave a combined effect of a true throwback, and a true step forward in the world of scripted burlesque shows ... this particular piece of burlesque-cum-story-cum-radio-play-mystique is one of the most original scripted shows I’ve seen, and one of the better written."
